Wastewater Collections System Superintendent

 Location:

Brookings-Harbor Oregon.  Harbor is a small community on the southern Oregon coast where the Chetco River meets the sea. A quiet little town close to natural resources with incredible outdoor recreational opportunities both on water and in the mountains.  Beautiful forests with towering firs surround the town with tourism and fishing as the main attractions to the area. 

 Position Summary:

Oversee the District’s Collections Department.  This is a Full-time position with a generous benefit package.  Responsibilities include maintaining and operating the District Wastewater Collection System pumping stations and lines.  Work with Engineers on new developments and reviews plans for compliance.  Performs office duties related to the collection system. 

Requirements:

Ability to work independently and efficiently.  Computer skills including Excel.

Possession of an Oregon Department of Environmental Quality Wastewater Collections II certificate or equivalent or Possession of an Oregon Department of Environmental Quality Wastewater Collections I certificate or equivalent with a minimum of two years of experience.

Possession of a valid Oregon driver’s license or the ability to obtain an Oregon driver’s license.

Salary Range:

$69,000 to $73,000.00 per year D.O.E.

Wastewater Collection Operator Trainee

Position Summary:

Assists the Wastewater Collection System Superintendent with maintaining the District Collection. This is a 32 hour per week position with a generous Benefits package included.

Requirements:

Minimum requirements include high school graduate or equivalency and must possess a valid Oregon Drivers License with a clean driving record.  Preference will be given to applicants with a mechanical background.

Wage:

Starting rate at $20.00 per hour depending on experience.
